Stop, Go.

Hey! Do you know that it is time for the beginning of Black American History Month?

Many of you are familiar with the many signs that are encountered along the roadside. These signs are put there for our safety, protection, and information.

I want to personally thank Mr. Garrett A. Morgan, an inventor and engineer, that was born in Paris, KY on the 4th day of March in 1877 for inventing the 3-way traffic light.  This was an invention that changed the streets and the traffic flow of automobiles all over the world.

Mr. Morgan left his home in Kentucky when he was just a teen-age boy. He headed north to Cincinnati to look for employment. With only an eighth grade education, he took it upon himself to hire a tutor to study English grammar.

Before his death in 1963, Mr. Garrett A. Morgan was given a citation by the United States government for the traffic signal.

All that I can say is "YOU GO BOY!"
